ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

A true sales professional with proven success in an acquisition based, solutions selling role. The Account Manager reports to the Commercial Sales Director and is responsible for achieving revenue growth targets by developing strong durable business relationships and promoting our world class voice and data solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To collaborate with Sales Management with the purpose of defining and implementing effective sales strategies to generate business opportunities in its target market.
  • To coordinate sales efforts with Microsoft, and other strategic partners.
  • To engage in strategic, long-term relationships with top customers.
  • Identify target markets and establish business relationships via telephone and live prospecting methodologies to promote our services.
  • To achieve defined monthly sales quota by effectively selling commercial business solutions.
  • Consistent use of Sales CRM.
  • Update and submit standardized reporting, as requested by Sales Management, on areas of focus such as but not limited to calls made, prospects, funnel status, forecasts, etc.
  • To ascertain client's needs and propose business solutions that best meet their needs.
  • To prepare contracts, coordinating with Sales Engineering, Product Management, and other internal contacts to develop the proposal strategy and solution, in line with client’s requirements and company standards.
  • To actively participate in various telecommunications events to increase company visibility.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum seven (7) years sales experience in Telecommunications, or related technical field.
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence, lead, and develop partnerships with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation communications skills.
  • Bilingual (English & French) an asset.
  • Experience writing customer proposals.
  • Persistent and self-motivated.
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of B2B Sales best practices and trends.
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of management and cross functional teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • PC Skills – working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Office, Skype for Business, CRM
  • Working knowledge of Windows. Sound knowledge of IP, and other related protocols

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Secondary School Diploma or Post-Secondary College education (Certificate/Diploma) in Business Administration or related field.
